Hennepin, IL | Correct. From what I understand, the whole steering system is a low pressure/high volume, hence the need for a temp sensor to compensate for oil temp. Not sure what the differences are exactly, but I know the 35/45/55 are a very different tractor from the 65-95. It's possible to steer without the temp sensor. Not sure how a steercommand or Z2 would handle it, but I've unplugged it on a Paradyme and it's usable, but not ideal. You have to constantly adjust either the aggressiveness or the temp offset until the oil is warm. On a cold day (below 50) the oil will cool down enough idling for a few minutes to have to start over. You could always try a Trimble valve and a steercommand, the hardware would definitely work, I think the problem will be calibrating and getting the valve to respond the way that tractor needs it to. Best option I can see is leaving your Geosteer on, or sticking an Ontrac 3 or Steadysteer in it. Ive had good luck with a couple Steadysteers in those tractors, like not disappointed at all compared to the Paradyme it replaced. | |
