NC KS | The blue poly is the go to stuff around here. Buy as big of roll as you can. Use brass alloy barbs and ALL stainless steel clamps. Use a little propane torch to heat it up a little when sliding on barbs. There are 2 different sizes-CTS which is same size as copper tubing and pex or SIDR (I think that is right initials) which fits same barbs as the older black poly. The blue poly comes in 2 different pressure ratings. I think low end is 160 and higher 1 is 200+. Great stuff except for paying for it. If you think you can clean and glue pvc cheap and fast, 160# pvc will be a lot less per foot (1/2 price?). Schedule 40 pvc was cheaper than the blue also. Belled ends make it easy.
The cheaper black poly that gave troubles 40 years ago was exactly that, cheap. The better stuff was called clear core and could withstand much more abuse and pressure.
