SW OH | I would much like to put in a water line myself and was expecting answers other than black plastic. Blue max was popular around here 30 years ago. I know a guy who's place is like a gravel pit and he has problems with the ground shifting and poking holes in black plastic. His solution is to start with 2". When it springs a leak he slides 1 1/2" inside it. Next leak it gets 1". I don't know if he's ever gone smaller.
