Well said, Chris. The old Agtalk mentality that all auctioneers are crooked and greedy.
For someone to say:
It's a gimmick
They fool people into bidding
Don't look at sale bills anymore because of buyers fees

Just exposing the fact that you're not "thinking it through"
Anyone farming today knows numbers and how to use a calculator.

If they're all crooks how come none are in jail and why aren't they insanely rich?
The rich ones work like dogs, just like every other "lucky, rich" person.

A friend of ours in Bismarck had a sizeable car/pickup collection to sell. He got ahold of Mechums and the owner and his son flew from Florida to Bismarck to look at each vehicle and guaranteed him a very respectable figure before the auction.
He said they were just common guys that were straight shooters.
