Buyers premiums are always clearly stated, as they are required to be...along with any other fees. If you don't read them, it's on you...not a "cooked" auction company.
We sell on AuctionTime regularly, and have the choice whether or not to have a buyers premium, and we have kept it after trying it. It doesn't seem to make things bring any less, and occasionally, things bring what we had been asking before the auction then we get the additional premium as well, so in cases, it's actually made us more.
Making excuses for reading comprehension and basic math ability doesn't make anyone crooked...you all have the free will to choose which auctions you bid on, and which you do not. Sorry, but not sorry, there are LOTS of threads covering this in the past few years, buyers premiums aren't a new thing. I remember them back when I started in the late 1990's, though they are much more common these days.
