NWMO
So Sorry if it offends anyone;).... "BUT" Deere sparyers are gonna weigh in heavy..."AND" are the most durable period... SO Lets take a little walk back to the 1990s Went from a Tractor with saddle tanks and rear boom... Then to a SprayCoup... Then moved up to a Partiot... Demoed a RowGator... Wanting larger and front boom bought a Walker44... Then Deere entered the room with a 4700... And now using a Deere R4030...

So lets check out this progession:

Tractor and rear boom was reliable and tough but not efficient...

SprayCoup light weight, could pull around and self tender yourself, plus we were moving into auto rate controls at this time... Would often get hung up in mud holes and welding on booms, bent front spindles, plus accually broke main frame in half... BUT IT WAS LIGHT WEIGHT!!! LOL... Could retrieve form a small puddle with a 4x4 pickup...

Patriot 1st 4x4 hydro machine... so mud was no longer a issue, coil springs was a better ride, but sitting out front, motion sickness, roller coster, & carnival ride all come to mind. Up and over terraces ect... I swear you was looking at the sky one minute and almost $H!T your self thinking you was dive bombing the earth in a matter of seconds... Had the normal frame cracks and boom repairs but all in all it stayed around awhile... Did actually put cylinder stops in boom folds to keep them slightly angled forward so your neck would survive the day... Machine was light on its feet but cab to boom position sucked...

Wanting bigger and better demoed a RowGator it was bigger but rode terrible and... So demoed a Walker44(before the spin off w/Nitro) & new to the front boom market... Lots of wheel travel for uneven ground, was claimed to keep equal psi on all 4 wheels no matter the terrain... Great visibility, front boom, high clearance, large cab, 5.9 cummins... But NO suspension??? Claim was large dia tires and equal weight distribution we be fine? This thing would row corn and go anywhere... But with NO suspension would break wheel bearings and then those pieces would go through entire Hyd System...B.A.D. After second round of this... Dealer sent me a Deere 4700 to run while Walker44 was in shop...

After a Week of renting.... I owned a Deere 4700..! brought Walker44 home and sold it..!

Deere 4700 was originaly designed with a 60' Hardy Boom & poly tank... When everyone found out how tough they were and the incredible ride they had going... Demand went up, Demand for a Stainless Tank, & demand for 80-90' booms... And this is where Deere F'd UP.... Balance went to crap... Rear wheel motors too small ect... Time for PIPs ect... So my 4700 SStank 90' had upgraded motors and a rack of front weights... All added with out changing frame or suspension for all this weight... Outer booms were prome to damage after hitting things.. The center pivioting boom was a terrable idea... Little short on power at times "BUT" That machine run me over 10+ years with nothing but service new tires... SO YES poor balance and A$$ heavy but TOUGH PERIOD... And would not row corn for $h!T... Make 4 tracks on a side slope... Later small/mid models were not much improved..

BUT the Deere R series took some pointers they learned off the 4920s 30s... Added the green booms that just work amazing "BUT" the paint falls off of from just sitting... AND NOW Everyone is chasing them PERIOD... Some MFGs may be getting there but time will tell...

AGCO Boys locate a DroBox for Parts...
CNH guy Keep plenty of ZipTies on Hand...
And Hagie??? For some reason Techs and Dealers Hang thier heads when you ask about trying one... IDK

I'll keep riding around in my OVER WEIGHT Deere thinking if only i could put Helium in my tires... LOL :0
