I started on a high blood pressure meds at 19 in 1977. 3 years later I was bleeding. Went off meds, Very strict diet. Plastic cheese, rinse 1%, cottage cheese, strict. 1989? I was put on statin. 2 years later I was bleeding again. Liver problems. Quit statin, saw a dietitian. Learned what foods not to eat. Be 69 end of March. No meds.
Make diet changes. Get off junk food and processed food. Low fat everything. Lose weight. Real food....James
This^^^ worked for me. Had high cholesterol, Dr put me on 20mg Atorvostatin, then after a year upped it to 40mg. Muscles ached all the time.
I slowly weaned myself off the statin, cut out all chips, doritoes, eat nuts or trail mix for my in between meal snacks. Went from 200s bad cholesterol to 150 last check up... |
