Western Ohio | Wife and I can neither one stand statins, body aches etc. Both of us now take Zetia ,which works in your intestinal tract ,instead of on your liver. Get along good with that. I also have a history of high plaque ( stents 3 times ,total of 4 ) . Bad genetics. I take an injectible now ,there are two that I know of ,Repatha and Praluent, similar drugs ,different manufacturers. It has had an amazing result, doc's want to see LDL # below 70 at least, and some say 55. Mines runs in the 40's now. Eppie pen type injection every 2 weeks. I give it myself. Trying to reverse the plaque, I'm going to be 64 in a month and doing much better. Some different options to consider ,guess you have to decide for yourself . My 2 cents worth | |
