Subject: RE: Speaking of auctions

North Mississippi Delta / Alabama Gulf Coast
Sometimes I listen to a crippled up car jockey that buys cars on the air Saturday mornings.
Happened to get in a debate on air with a guy that had an original classic car, wanted $30k for it. He started offering 15k and stalled at 18k. I remember him saying a paint job was 20k and original parts were 2x and sometime 3x more if you can find them. Anything other than OEM parts dropped the value across the auction block.
JCW explained that the cost of buying, customizing, transporting, storing and auction fees basically double the true value of a classic car.

I actually learned something!
