The old NH3 hose is what we use too. The old propane fittings have always been moved to a different hose. Might be able to use an Nh3 valve with propane. Not sure on that. I know you can't go the other way.
99% of the time the valve will say both NH3 and LP on the tag
use brass male acme thread adapters
the tankers don't change the valves
just the acme male adapters to brass
Could use a propane filler hose.........1 1/4 or 1 1/2.
