Northern RRV | I have had the opposite luck as had some of the others that have posted. I have had as good or better luck with the aftermarket abilene feeder chains and elevator chains than OEM. My last OEM elevator chain lasted less than one season and was twice the cost. The aftermarket feeder chain lasted about the same as the OEM, but the OEM was about double. The connecting links on the aftermarket feeder chains are not as good so we buy the OEM connectors to use with the abilene chains. I have used both cone guard and abilene for the cone guards. I can't say longevity was much different. Cost was a little bit more from cone guard.
Aftermarket parts typically have a one year warranty where as the OEM part warranty is typically 90 days.
Someone a while back mentioned they used https://www.schmidtmachine.com/ for their augers. I can't say anything about them other than others on agtalk have recommended them. | |
