| I agree with most comments here but there is still something odd going on. When I plant rye (and back when I used a drill to plant oats/alfalfa), my system using the dickey john meters would report 600k / acre. Since it bounced around that number, I figured that was really what the system could read. But I find also, whenever I go above ~175k bean population, the monitor stops reporting pops greater than 175 unless I slow way down.
So to me the mystery is why is it only beans? If the sensors can read that fast to see 600k rye go by, why can't it see 180k beans...
