Thanks to all for your replies and opinions. I will be replacing cable ends if there is enough cable to do this. If not I'll use the stud adapters. Tractor is not in the shop now. Batteries are totally shot. I'll have to put the new batteries in to get it running and into the shop. Then I'll be able to find out if there is enough cable to change over to eyes. The existing ends are in great shape yet
