I've noticed with a STMM on a stock JD 15" planter that in beans it seemed like a rough guess on population. And that's putting half the seeds past the sensors as you are. Is it the module? Sensors? No idea, they just used scales and kept track of boxes more than going off any pop number the monitor read off.
