E ND | Interesting to compare the 5.4 to the GM 5.3L in that time frame, I think the early ears the 5.3L has a much better reputation. Once the AFM came on the 5.3L and the 5.4L went to the 3V, not so sure. Probably about equal for issues.
I've personally always thought the 5.3L GM's were a much more responsive powertrain than any Ford 5.4L (even thought they spec about the same) but that's personal opinion.
What vehicle are you looking at with the 5.4L? They put it in a lot of different cars and trucks! Might change people's answers. | |
