I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I've had about the same luck with the $40 OEM struts as I have had for the $9 ebay specials. Neither one lasts very long, yet the cab door spring loaded detent on my dad's old 1066 still works. The cab rattles like an echo chamber, but the doors don't slam shut on you for no reason.
