I bought a used Hardi at an auction a few hours away from here. I couldn't get the speed function to work, I checked the monitor plugs, and checked the wires for continuity. According to the manual, I wasn't getting the right voltage from the speed sensor so I took it off and the parts guy sold me an identical one. It still didn't work, thought I'd have to schedule a service call. The parts guy at Schlauderaff told me just go ask their service tech first, I was reluctant since I didn't buy it from them. The service tech asked me a couple questions and said I had the wrong type of speed sensor. He walked over to the parts shelf, grabbed a different speed sensor and said try this, just bring the other one back on Monday and the parts guy would redo the bill. That fixed it, whoever had owned it before had put the wrong sensor on it. They've had the parts in stock that I've needed, even the cable and decal (different size tanks use different decals) that shows the level in the tank. It really doesn't need many parts to keep it running. One thing we learned is some years we have to take the flow meter apart to make sure it spins after setting all winter due to our hard water (the magnets attract the iron in the water).
