NW KS | I would say everywhere has it's challenges. Never truly had a droughted out crop in MN, always was something to harvest. Soils here just don't take in moisture as well as the soil in MN, fine and tight. We don't get the amount of precip here and it's hotter as well. Lower yield environment but lower land cost, for every acre sold in MN buys 5-6 acres here. I wouldn't say one place is harder or easier than the other, just different in it's challenges. | |
