SE Wisconsin | Gary, drainage and drain tile preservation is very important. As you probably aware drain tile is huge in this area.My experience with a project like this that they have no idea what tile is or does. However you word it, make sure the developer AND ANY SUBSEQUENT OWNERS are required to maintain current facilities. Also, as previously stated, there is a good chance the developers sole purpose is to only build out the solar project and will sell it immediately upon completion. Make it a requirement that as the project is transferred between owners that the local municipality is notified of this and who are the principal owners/officer holders are. Road damage is a concern, take videos of roads around the project prior to it starting so you have evidence if major damage happens. Designate truck routes too. Facility and property lighting can be an issue. They could throw up bright lights to flood their facilities without regard for neighbors. Sorry this is so long but I was involved with one of these from its inception and it’s a lot of work dealing with it. Once they start someone needs to be checking on progress and compliance regularly. | |
