Southern Ohio | I have a two valve also. Bought at 150k and its at 265k now. Has been incredibly reliable for me. I changed the plugs once early in ownership. I really prepared and did my research to hopefully do the job without any issues and was successful. I had an O-ring failure on the coolant crossover pipe on the intake manifold. It was a $5 part but a lot of people said they had issues with the plastic intake cracking after retorquing it back down so I went ahead and replaced the intake (and did the spark plugs again since they were so accessible at that point). This and a starter are the only parts I've replaced on the truck in 15 years, not counting your typical "wear" items. Engine is still going strong but the truck is pretty well worn out otherwise. Has been the most reliable vehicle I've owned. | |
