![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=203&type=profile&rnd=277) northeastern Ohio | I saw this graphic on FB, not sure if it is accurate. But reading the comments under the pic, a lot of the British farmers were talking anti-American (political reasons) and boycotting JD (an American owned company) in favor of Massey/Fendt and New Holland which they seem to view as European.
Which leads to my commentary here. Do we as American farmers view Agco and New Holland as European? Yes a lot of their tractors are built in Europe now, but their roots are American in my opinion. On the other hand, I have owned some German made JD tractors and they have factories around the world today. Really a world economy, not American vs. European, in my opinion.
The only political consideration that I would have about buying a tractor is if it was being manufactured by an American enemy. I think we saw that with Versatile when they were owned by a Russian company after the invasion of Ukraine. Versatile sales plummeted around the world and was then sold to a Turkish company.
Anyone have the latest market share data for USA? Thoughts??
