Subject: RE: Pull Type Sprayer

Northeastern Pa.
I have a Hardi Ranger 550 that covers up to 900 acres (300 A/3x a year). The only down fall is there is no inline filter (some have) to or from the pump in mine just on each boom line. I never had any plugging issues but put a filter just before the pump. I had the nut back off the impeller shaft on the centrifugal pump 1x and replaced it with a metric stainless lock nut. I did replace the main pressure regulator last year. I run 28% pre and dribble post on corn which is hard on sprayers. I had a TL 300 before, and it was used on more acres than we have now. There are 3 Hardi dealers within 100 miles that can get me parts quick if needed. Along with dealer support Hardi has a North American hot line for trouble shooting. I looked at Crop Care, but I didn't feel it was as rugged to haul 28% but would be my 2nd choice because they have a few dealers here. I would buy a Hardi next time too. No concern about the metric parts. You can use an adapter for any nozzle.
