Andy, I don't have any T-L experience. But I have been told by both Valley and Zimmatic dealers it was cheaper to just replace them than try and rebuild them. Being a typical farmer I said "Yeah, right" and rebuilt one.
If I valued my time as worth anything I found they were correct
