| If it is a south facing door..... I procrastinated pouring the apron in front of my south facing bi-fold door as the gravel in front of it would move as much as 3" up and down with the frost. About 3 years ago we put down 2" of insulation under an 8" slab. It doesn't move and a side benefit is that the slab melts off about twice as far out from the building now. About 8' vs 4'. The farther we get into spring the farther out it melts.... | |
