E ND
Growing up we bought/moved into a house on a corner lot in central MN with a circle drive that was originally built by the owner of the local electrical supply house. Two car wide concrete driveway was probably 80' in one direction and 40' the other direction from garage out to the roads. It had a full ELECTRIC grid heat in the driveway. Our family was never brave enough to turn it on to see what it would cost to run but I assume it worked. Electrical panels in the basement looked like a commercial building.

I'm sure hot water heat would be cheaper...but maybe electric would come on hot and fast in a 4" residential driveway application and burn off the snow in a few hours instead of overnight so maybe not so bad.
