Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251 | It was cold, but luckily our vet has a good attitude! We preg checked and vaccinated 200 2nd calf heifers that were AI bred yesterday evening. Ended up with 111 that were AI bred. He also could tell 6 others were early bull bred, and found two AI bred that the embryo was dead.
This is all new to me, is that a typical average? So when planning in the future, do i need to basically double the cost per straw to get an accurate number to help compare AI expense to natural breeding?
