Ohio
I’ve asked before but didn’t really get the responses I wanted. I need to put concrete under some sliding doors. Main reason to make sure they don’t blow in and to just help make it easier to open the barn doors in the winter. I always seems to take stones out from under the doors before winter to give it some room for the frost to move things a bit but the doors always get frozen down no matter how much I dig out. It doesn’t help that they are north facing doors so it doesn’t get the sun that it really needs. I’d like to dig down 3-4’ and pour concrete to eliminate the heaving. What’s the best way to form the top so the inside is higher than under neath the doors for the doors to push up against and seal. I’ve talked to locals about doing it and they all seem to be too busy to do such a small project which I understand. So looks like I’ll just do it myself. Thanks for any pics or help.
