Not impressed at all with mine either. I think it doesn’t blow enough air. Think a more aggressive fan would help.
That said, I do keep it handy in the cab of my pickup this time of year. Pretty handy for frozen locks, thawing the fuel nozzle on my transfer tank that kicks off too easy when it’s frozen, etc.
I tried using it to warm up fuel filters on an excavator that was about half gelled up this morning, but didn’t think it would do much good, and I was right. Did finally get the machine to quit sputtering and trying to die.


This is what I use mine the most for, but I have used it for heat shrink...maybe not but connectors, but just heat shrink tubing. I typically grab the butane torch for heat shrink connectors, but both are next to each other in my service truck. The Milwaukee heat gun gets used to thaw out door seals, and locks when a customer wants to see that froze up tractor on the coldest day of the year LOL
