Yes. The slab basically needs it's own system. I had to put in a separate heat exchanger to draw heat to transfer to the glycol in the slab. The high degree of anti freeze make the whole system more difficult to heat. It takes an incredible amount of btus to do this job but it's pretty neat if you want to melt it off. You'd have to make more money than I do to use propane.
