central - east central Minnesota -

Rowcropcattleman - 1/20/2025 19:39 You northerners Dakota’s, Minnesota, Wisconsin Ontario, further north etc, how many or how common has it got to be to have heated slabs in front of shop or house drive? We got rain, freezing rain followed by heavy snow, about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it’s sticking around, which isn’t really normal down here, which posed the question for northerners, hate having parents walking on slick spots that have been bladed but can’t get rid of it.

Here in the Northland - we don't get the sticky icy snows or freezing rains that those of you south and east of the Northern Siberian areas, you list above. Our snows are generally dry. We do not get freezing rain (although, it seems at least one a season now). It really isn't necessary to have heated outside walks/drives with the type of weather/ precipitation in our northern areas.
