5 degrees here with 3-4” of snow on the ground when I just went out to feed, -7 forecast for tonight’s low. Wind chill predicted to be -23 although there didn’t seem to be much wind while I was out, thankfully. I’m mainly worried about bulls out on wheat pasture although they have a bale of hay and a windbreak; I spread a bunch of straw out on the ground for bedding, hopefully they figure it out.
Yeah I worry about the bulls, you always hear stories about freezing their berries. My one smart bull who's a PITA, kept breaking out and coming home is locked up under a shed with nice bedding. |
