It works well. Installed this for my elderly mother. It has a sensor that turns it on if it is below freezing and moisture is present. The key is it melts the snow or ice as it comes and not trying to catch up after the fact. Not sure on the exact cost to operate, but the light bill isn't bad even when it operates quite a bit. It was worth every penny when you consider the safety aspect. I would do it again. It has been in twelve years and has worked flawlessly. | |
