I never thought of it until we had that newer trailer and all of a sudden the crank hitting the auger tube problem was gone.
What's different here!
It's not an exact copy as the factory hanger bracket is clear up/out on the side rail rather than mounted on the hopper knock rail.
The bearing kind of had to be pivoted a small bit in the pillow block to align the shaft at the steeper angle but that doesn't hurt anything.
Just need to figure out the pipe length so the crank can just clear the trailer side as it goes around. | |
