Chief,my kitchen is pex in a thin layer of concrete then tile on it.I have a few rugs,one 4 x5 at the doorway,vinyl backing.The dogs know this mellow heat area,its their fav.It will come up thru,I think a slimmer indoor out carpet would be super,no rubber backing.I throw any wet/snowy clothes right on the floor and by morning I have done the laundry,,your office girls will hug you...
