I will second watching Del Peterson auctions. I have three 21,000 gallon aluminum tanks that I purchased on there at different times for holding ethanol plant syrup. They were formerly used for liquid fertilizer.

I also often buy stainless tanks on there. Personally I spend the coin on stainless or aluminum over plastic or steel. They won't rust, or crack in the sun, and you will probably make a profit if you ever sell them. The ones I'm using are from the 1970's, and still look new on the inside. Get hooked up with FDS - fertilizer dealer supply, and get whatever fittings you need to make it handy.

Aluminum does not play well with all liquid fertilizer.
