East of Broken Bow | Trump said many times, he wants to deport those who have committed criminal acts while in the USA (beyond illegally being here), see what happens, and go from there.
Trump is a businessman and negotiator. I personally think he talks big (Deport all illegals) so that when he suggests something smaller (deport the murderers and rapists) it gets more support. If it weren't for him (and Vance) talking about the illegal gang members taking over apartment buildings, would word of that gotten around in the national media? I was watching on TV when a media talking head was scolding Vance for allowing Trump to say they were taking over a city, when they were only taking over a handful of apartment buildings. I think Vance did a good job turning it around by pointing out that the media seemed more upset that Trump overstated the number of buildings taken over than they were the illegal gangs that were doing it.
So, for now, I plant to take a wait and see approach to the deportation situation. Get the dangerous ones out of here, and see what is left. I really don't see every illegal being deported. In fact, I don't see half of them being deported, or even 1/4.
Anyone care to take a bet on that?
I say that in the next 4 years, less than 25% of the total illegals in the USA will be deported. Any takers? | |
