I'm saying Trump and Biden were/are both still dealing with inflationary spending from 10+ years prior, in addition to the gasoline they themselves threw on the fire.

When you pass a deficit spending bill that continues on for decades, that inflation keeps coming for decades to come.   Both parties are guilty of doing this.
