| the rand paul and larry kudlow definition of inflation (i`m in their camp) is "increasing money supply causes inflation". by putting a tariff on the chinese 85" tv from walmart might make the price go up from $400 to $500, that might be a price increase, but it isn`t an increase in the money supply inflation. yes, we`re all drunk on the money increase inflation we`ve had over the years of the stock market going from 10,000 to 43,000 and $5,000 land going to $20,000 all that has been the fun part of inflation, but as we all know deep down is it isn`t sustainable.
maybe trump takes away the punchbowl ( if one man even has that ability?), but if the discomfort gets too much for the populous then helicopter money will be on the way which will be inflationary. as far as deporting illegals perhaps large dairies and packing plants will have to stop paying questionable workers under the table with cash. but the rest of us have to follow the rules, i don`t see why they shouldn`t, if we want maximum cheap prices then remove all the laws so that we can all participate equally on the race to the bottom. | |
