MI

Tom88 - 1/19/2025 21:21 Our farm buildings and bins are spread out. What electric gold cart do people recommend? I looked at the Coleman at runnings. Is it the same as Ion? Something maybe with a lithium battery. I don’t know if that’s a must. We have rangers but would think a electric cart would be nice when just driving around the farm. There are a lot of options out there.

I would definitely never recommend an electric golf cart for the situation you're describing.

Electric pros:

  • quiet
  • low end torque
  • no combustion fumes
Electric cons:
  • need a place for it to be parked for charging
  • Battery life and diminishing range
Gas pros:
  • range
  • ability to use it running 12 volt stuff like sprayer pumps
Gas cons:
  • engine compartment dust regarding intake air
  • fine tune movements are more difficult
Mine has a snorkel for intake air now and I use it for....well....almost everything. They really weren't designed for dusty conditions for intake air.
I also have a hunting box for the back along with a hand dump box for stone picking
