EC Nebraska | Soil tests here use hot water extraction, and almost always indicate less than 1 ppm
Standard recs here, if they include boron at all, might be for half a kg/ha of actual boron per year. I've spread 15 kg/ha of 14% boron prills, and that's a very high application rate for here.
Standard practice here is more worried about boron toxicity. Generally that's only a concern on lower calcium soils, below 60% Ca bs.
But we don't get as much rainfall as you probably do. We've been evapotranspiration deficit since 2021, so nothing (not even nitrogen) has leached below the root zone on most soils for several years.
