NE Ohio | It's clear you're frustrated and don't feel there's a good solution. That sux. you're aware you have a choice to wallow in it or find a path forward.
If you're good at technical work, do that. It seems like you do have some assets, but don't feel the business case is there to move forward. You either need to figure out a business case or go work for someone else. Also, nothing saying that you can do one to get to the other.
I'm not sure $800/ hour gross is really that much without context on the whole business case. I'll put it in farming terms...A 20 year old, $50K combine can easily run 2000 bu / hour in corn. Say it's $4. That's $8000 per hour. It also doesn't mean jack because you can't just magically combine corn 24/7/365. There's a whole lot of other expenses, time and business choices to get to the fun part.
Your comments imply that the overall business case for building the building and running a CNC shop isn't there. Otherwise, go get a loan and get after it. You seem to have assets...land, CNC machines, excavator...so sounds like you're making some choices on where you spend money, where you live and what you keep. The key is those choices should make you happy and they are not, so you need to look at some options. It sounds like that's where you are stuck, you don't like where you are at, but you don't want to make different choices to move forward. If you're thinking about asking for handouts (Go fund me) but aren't willing to just go get a job, you better look into the mirror for a minute. Quit worrying about others and don't expect hand-outs...take your skills and apply them in a productive fashion. If you don't want to go into debt and don't want to work for someone else, then maybe go to Portugal or Costa Rica, | |
