Subject: RE: Story about UAP…

West Central Wisconsin
Not an aircraft but a flare light-like ball is what I saw, along with my school bus driver, one early spring morning in the late 70's to early 80's. We were traveling west on a cut over road when I noticed a greenish-blue glowing ball slowly descend from the east at about a 45 degree angle just a hundred plus yards to the south of the bus. It was maybe half the size of a volleyball and faded away within 20 feet before hitting the ground. It was slow motion and reminded me of a signal flare in it's luminous appearance. There was a short "vapor" trail so it must have made heat but not from it's velocity. I looked forward at the bus driver and he was already looking back at me in that big mirror above his head and simply said, "that's something you don't see everyday"! This was maybe 3 miles from the direction of the nearby army base and it reminded me of the flairs we would see in the night when the soldiers were on maneuvers but this was more green than the standard red ones we would see at night. I came to the conclusion many years later it was just a turd flushed from a jetliner!
