E.Central MN | I would think that given the average age of farmers they'd recognize and be opposed to age discrimination by employers but that's often the real reason for those targeted layoffs. As employees get older they don't "jump" as fast as the younger employees and health care costs increase, so the capitalist answer is to purge the older workers every few years in the name of efficiency. Those rules don't apply to upper mgmt. | |
