When you factor in 1031 money with a clock ticking and people who have zero intention to make money off of it (hunting land, farmette, ect) it's hard to put a price on what something is worth.
I thought we paid plenty for some irrigated land a little over a year ago, then some other dryland I was renting was sold for $1000 an acre more recently. It was bought with cash but if it was borrowed money rent would have covered 1/4 of the interest costs without anything going towards principal. Make it make sense? | |
