ECIL | Then there are the docs who prescribe meds to alleviate the side effects of the meds the originally prescribed. My MIL, may she rest in peace, at one time was taking 23 different prescriptions, the majority of which were to counter the side effects of the main meds. She got a new doc who changed her entire regimen and cut the number of drugs by 70%. It didn't take long for her to perk up and feel better.
