ECIL | A lot of the comfort depends on how well the vehicle was used and maintained. My Dakota has almost 247K miles on it and is mechanically sound. Lots of highway miles, long drives, and minimal loads help. I change the oil every 4K, rotate tires every 6K, tranny fluid changed every 70K (very rarely pulling anything), everything else by the book. Because of the percentage of highway miles I can go 90K on a set of brakes. Alignment is done with each set of new tires. From what I've researched, the V6 was designed to run 200K. I don't add oil to mine and the dipstick shows "full" after 4K miles. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it on a 600 mile day trip.
ETA: With the engine, a lot of it's life expectancy is determined on how it's broke in.
