Every heifer I’ve ever raised has been in a group with nothing but other heifers. Can’t expect a heifer to compete with a cow and keep growing raise a decent calf and get bred back. I’d like a heifer to do it all on her own with nothing extra but separating her and giving her $75 of extra feed is about the best money I can spend.
