Of you've owned the vehicle for a long time, i wouldnt be concerned with those miles. I run mine til they die, so I figure i know when they are starting to feel iffy. I had a ford expedition with 225 or 235k on it, and had it detailed to take the family out to South Carolina which is a 17 hour drive each way. An employee backed into it with a manure spreader a week before and ripped the whole front end off, so that was cancelled.
I figure if I'm going somewhere and my vehicle blows up, my trip turns into a shopping trip and I find another one or rent one. 10001×
That's my thoughts. As long as I can afford a tow and a rental I'll send it if nothing feels off.
Just upgraded from a 340k mile Toyota Sienna because the list of comfort features that didn't work anymore was starting to bother my wife. Wouldn't have batted an eye about driving it cross country again. |
