NE ND | How many miles do you typically run your "family" vehicle before trading? I'm talking the vehicle you would rely on to take a multistate trip with and expect it not to leave your family on the side of the road. I know, even new vehicles can have problems. I'm aware a few people will run a vehicle 300,000+ with extensive maintenance and trust that vehicle more than a new vehicle. However, at what mileage do you start to have some anxiety about long trips with doing just "by the operators manual" maintenance? Just curious. I currently have a Ford 1/2 ton with 185,000. Our family is possibly going to need to travel out of state multiple times in the coming months (mind you, i am in eastern North Dakota, traveling into western South Dakota in the winter).
I know it's a bit of an open ended question, just looking for others thoughts.
