Southern Missouri | Boone here you and I go again , agree with everything you said , but it’s what you left out , sure cash rent returns less than the money received from a sale , at 5 percent outpays the cash rent , but what about this land sale that was public auction this past Wednesday in our neighborhood that blew us all away , don’t ask me I can’t tell you why it did what it did , minimum 10 percent over what it would of brought just 365 days ago , add that to the cash rent and tell me what we got on our land investment in the last year , it really could of been maybe 12 percent over last year , 5 different tracts , all bought by neighboring land owners , none of them actually farm , as always old buddy , just pointing that out , I’m still thinking that 3 trillion injected into this already inflationary economy is making its way around, I feel like our area has been a little undervalued compared to national land market for several years , I don’t know if other areas are seeing this or not , were several folks bidding, just shy of 16000 acre , no commercial value at all | |
